Malaysia, Introduction to Romance???

Tuesday, November 12
Today is my very first Asian trip. Woke up around 10 am. Lala and Chel bid goodbye. Had to cook brekky and prepared for my trip.

Got to the airport at 1 pm. Left Manila via Malaysia Airlines around 4. Landed on Kuala Lumpur around 7:30. Didn't see my pickup service so I arranged my flight schedule first and worried about my taxi service later. I was given a limo srevice. Had to pay RM 150 for my limo.

Had to deposit 150 bucks for my stay at Crown Princess. Found out that there's not enough power outlets, local calls aren't even free, and there's NO internet. Bummer! The hotel isn't very nice considering it's a FIVE-star hotel. No cable either.

Visited Petaling Street but it rained so I had to go back immediately. Paid extra RM 2.50 for my taxi trip back to the hotel.

Had "Nasi Goreng" at the 10th floor restaurant. Am hoping that tomorrow is a better day.

Had to wake up early 'cause AiJen Chang of B2B Commerce is picking me up at the lobby at 8:30. She's nice and friendly. So is the rest of the people of B2B. The class went well today. AiJen treated me for lunch at a nearby cafe. Had "Nasi Lemak" and a local soda. Also we shared yam cake for dessert.

Went to KLCC mall to change my Pesos to Ringgit. Found one with exchange rate of 100 Pesos to 7.10 Ringgit.

Strolled down the huge mall. Went back to Petaling Street again to have dinner. Ate some pork satay and sweet corn soup. Bought a cute necklace.

Still skipped brekky. Worried today because of BICs. Not sure if they understood it well. Eng Chye and AiJen treated me for lunch again. I had chicken caciotore.

Went back to KLCC to look around. Decided to go back to Petaling Street. Bought 2 nice bracelets.

Had a long warm bath later. ;o)

Finally got to have my free brekky. Tried filming Malaysia today but I need to dub the audio. Ugh! Anyhoo, I went first to B2B Commerce to have my plane ticket photocopied.

Proceeded to KLCC. Went to Chinatown and Petaling Street again. Had some authentic Chinese food. Hailed a cab to Menara. Visited KL Tower. Had fun viewing KL from way UP there! Visited a Buddhist and an Indian temple. Went back to Petaling Street to do my shopping. While having dinner, I met Martin Wakenshaw. Had a few local drinks (Tiger) with him. I found out that he uses his free time visiting different countries a few times each year. Lucky him. Wish I could do that too.

It seems I have a weird horoscope, "A routine day but very much to my liking. A few happy interludes and a possibly an introduction to romance". With whom, Martin??? Bummer!

After four days, I'm flying back home to Manila.

Woke up early 'cause I need to be in KLIA 2 hours before the plane leaves. I first went to Cafe on the 10th to claim my free brekky. It turned out the same selection from yesterday--yuck! I just had a toasted sandwich with some apple cinnamon.

Afterwards, I checked out and claimed my $150 back. I paid RM 714 for my four-night stay at Crown Princess. Not worth it.

The cab ride to the airport was long. It's like 85 miles and it took us about an hour to get there. Paid the driver and went inside the huge airport.

I bought more souvenirs. I really wish I stayed longer in Malaysia. I only saw the CBD and Petaling Street and visited some temples.

I thought the flight was non-stop but was wrong. We made a transit flight at Kuching, Malaysia.

Arrived in Manila at 3:30 pm. Hailed a cab and was finally home around 4 pm.

Visited the office to check e-mails. Also, it was nice to see Swift, my pet fish, again.

Looking back, this started my annual travels to Asia and how I came to love traveling. As for the horoscope, never believe it.
