SOP in San Francisco

Watching the "grand" launch of GMA Pinoy TV last Sunday was kind of a letdown. It was nice seeing the main hosts singing & dancing to the SOP theme. But I noticed that Reg's mic was either toned down or not working properly. I couldn't hear her much. In her number with Jaya where they sang "Bop It", Reg only sang a few lines.

One of the few good things that happened was the return of "Back2Back2Back". They even featured why it was one of the best parts in SOP. Which makes me wonder why bring it back only now?! Anyhoo, it was nice hearing the duet of Janno & Reg. As for Ogie & Reg's, I'd prefer them singing "Hanggang Ngayon". That would be a blast!

Then the two divas sang "I Have Nothing". Nice. Jaya was great in her "Through the Fire" version. Listen to her version in her concert with Reg, "Independent Women", and it will blow you away. "Butterfly" was otay. It wasn't that great. Maybe because Reg has sung this a gazillion times already. When the two artists sang "I Believe", I thought Reg would do "Higher... higher...HIGHER!!!". Again, a disappointment.

When the four main hosts performed solos again, I asked what Reg would sing. Then I heard the first few notes of "Dadalhin". Hmmm... Oh well. It would be really great to listen to any old classics of our Songbird. "Dadalhin" should be included in her "baul" list already.

No Kyla. No Jay-R. No other guests too. I got tired of watching the same set of SOP artists. Wassup with that?! I wish Kyla didn't accept her concert guesting with Martin N. She would have brought the house down with her "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". On the good side, I've seen Reg multiple times in this episode.
