Party at Leesburg
Around 3 today, my friends and I went to Leesburg Premium Outlet. Faye, Boy and Rich are leaving in 2-3 weeks so they need to do their pasalubong shopping. We all agreed to bunch together in 3 hours. A lotta time to shop!
Looking at the merchandise on each clothing, furniture, kitchen stores, I felt disappointed. I even tried some clothes but they were not agreed with my taste.
So after 3 hours of window shopping, I finally gave up. For the first time, I went shopping and got nuthin. Teehee...
The Kerrs invited me and my friends to a double-birthday party in Leesburg. We drove over to her friends' house around 9. Normally, I get shy in cases where I don't know who's celebrating the party. We know nobody there except Nick and Janette. Teehee.
Anyhoo, Jan introduced us to Tita Cecille (the wife of Rob, the first celebrant; Al is the other guy). She guided us to the buffet table. I got some spareribs, noodles, chicken, and some beef. For dessert, I got me some cake. Delish! We made some chitchat with the other guests. We're the new guys so we introduced ourselves. Rich knew somebody there, an old officemate. Small world, eh?
A Filipino house won't be complete without a MagicSing. I told Nick that it's like rice. We delivered some songs. I sang "My Sacrifice", "This I Promise You", "Bohemian Rhapsody", and "Creep". Alwyn made his best Basil Valdez impression with "Ngayon at Kailanman" and "Lift Up Your Hands'. Richie, of course, melt the hearts of the ladies with his "Kung Mawawala Ka" and "Will of the Wind". Jan felt she was in a church. Faye sang "Cruisin'", "Love Fool", etc.
During the videoke session, Tita Cecille brought out the duet mic. She handed it over to Boy while she got the main mic so she could sing. Boy asked somebody how he could reserve a song selection. While Tita Cecille was singing, it got cut off. Everyone looked at her to know what happened. Turned out that Boy accidentally pressed the play instead the "Res" button in the other mic. We all laughed.
Michelle, the daughter of Tita Cecille, is pretty. She sang Shania Twain's "From This Moment On" and got 97. The highest of the night. Then later on, she sang "My Heart Will Go On" and got 98. Hmmm... Where's my freakin' "Call Me"?
Learned from Janette that they plan to visit Manila again in December after 3 years of not seeing her family. They will definitely visit Boracay again. According to Nick, he has gone to several beaches in the world but nuthin compares to the fine white sand of Bora.
At 1:30, we stopped the singing, gathered around and surprised Rob with a birthday cake.
Around 2, we sadly left the party. We planned to go to DC so we couldn't stay up too late.
