Wanted: Vegas Tips?
Now that I think about it, I regret that I didn't get to travel much when I was here in the US the last time. I would've loved to visit the different States, especially Vegas. I'm extremely happy that I was sent back here in the US again. This time though, I made sure that I'll get to see Vah-gas!
Tamyts is coming over here in September. A perfect time to have a reunion too. Joyish and I booked our flights yesterday. I'll be flying JetBlue. First time. I'll let you know how it goes.
Will also crash at Joy's hotel. We'll be staying at the Stratosphere. I don't think I'll be getting much sleep there though ;oP
I also started looking for things to do in Vegas. I don't wanna spend much so I googled the free stuff. Here's my list:
@ the Mirage
- White Tiger Exhibit
- Volcano Eruption
@ Bellagio
- Dancing Fountain
@ The Venetian
- Gondola Watching
@ Paris Hotel & Casino
- Eiffel Tower
@ Caesars Palace
- Roman Statues Show
@ Luxor
- Pyramid-Shaped Hotel
Of course, I will definitely try the slot machines. Am excited to play the video poker too.
For those of you who have visited Vegas, please post your suggestions here on what to do or where to go.

eww, veg-ass. it's a trashy, flashy themepark. anyway, since you and joy and myta like to sing so much, google for the karaoke contests. most hotels have them. in public, some require audition and some accompanied by live band. then you can either impress them and win money or get pelted by tomatoes and embarass yourself (which you manage very well anyway, hehe.)
I remember they had this street show somewhere near the KAPITBAHAY Filipino restaurant along the strip. Check that out one afternoon, if they still have it. Also, keep an eye on group strollers coz for all you know, they could be celebrities walking around with their assistants (we saw Jessica Alba)! And hey, don't forget to drop by the M&M's factory and get 'em in all sorts of colors! Have fun. :)
Dont forget to see 'The Sirens of Treasure Island' free outside the Treasure Island hotel. Shows nightly at 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10:00 p.m., and 11:30 p.m. in Sirens' Cove at the front entrance of Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
If you do decide to spend some money on some entertainment, I highly recommend seeing Cirque Du Soleil 'O' or 'Ka'. Those shows are fantastic!
Regards,
Nick
