I've been using Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine shampoo for a while now and I figured it's time to check out other products in the market today. Am kinda hesitant to try different products. Sometimes the brand doesn't guarantee that your scalp will like it.
Just tried this new shampoo from Herbal Essences. And surprisingly, it makes my hair softer and it smells really good now. I just had my hair colored so this is also good news to all color-treated hair.
I'm recommending it to all my friends. I just hope that the Hydralicious line is available back home.
Woke up around 11 already. Joy already cooked brekky for us. Sweet! We had bacon, eggs and rice ;oP
Around 12ish, we're all ready to go to the beach. I bought this Tommy Bahama beach mat from Marshalls and I was excited to use it for my sunbathing. We made sure that we put on sunblock first. I was really concerned about my new ink.
I can also feel some kinda pain on my left ankle. Maybe from last night's running on the sand. Am trying not to put too much pressure on it.
Ogz & I played frisbee but I really suck at it so I stopped. Onaks took my place and I started my natural tanning session. Joy & Karen were on either side of me getting their tan too.
They also tried the beach but the water was too cold so we decided to check out the pool in our hotel. I didn't swim. Again, mightily concerned about my tattoo.
Around 2, we looked for a place to eat. Found a crab house along Philadelphia avenue called "Higgins".
We ordered medium-sized crabs with corn on the cob, mussels (Karen's request) and shrimps (Onaks' request) with butter & garlic. Too bad they don't have rice. Happy Fiesta!!!
After an hour or so, we headed back to the hotel and packed up our stuff.
After our late checkout, we went back to Boardwalk and took some more pictures. Karen & Joy had henna tattoos. We also looked for magnets but couldn't find a nice one though =o(
After reaching the 1st street, we went back to our van and headed home. Reached VA around 11. We immediately looked for a place to eat and IHOP was the choice. We tried KFC but they no longer serve chicken. WTF!
Never been to Ocean City before so I’m pretty excited for our weekend trip.
We (with Karen, Onaks, Ogz and Joy) left Ashburn around 9 in the morning. We had to get ice first at Harris Teeter and Joy had to buy her tanning lotion. Then we headed down to Sterling to get some brekky at McDonalds.
It took us about 4 hours to reach Ocean City. We got excited when we saw the Boardwalk and kites flying everywhere. That looks fun!
We looked for our hotel named Spinnaker. It’s located on 18th street on N Baltimore Ave. Joy already booked us a room so we just needed to get our keys.
Our room could easily fit 6 peeps. We have a view of the ocean but not as expected. We also have a small kitchen where we could reheat our adobo and rice. We took care of our hunger first. We were so hungry that the 5 cups of rice that we intended to eat through dinner wasn’t enuff.
We also drank the champagne that Joy bought for us. It would’ve been more enjoyable with strawberries but we forgot them in the fridge back home.
It was time to check out the Boardwalk. This reminds me so much of Atlantic City. Unlike the one in AC, this has more “open” stores though. Lovely ladies in bikinis. Guys in board shorts exposing their tattoos & abs. Lots of peeps with their pets (sweet!). We saw different merchandise being sold with OC prints. Peeps eating fries and funnel cakes. Children playing in wooden structures. And kites flying everywhere.
We saw a Ripley’s store (there’s also one in Atlantic City) and an amusement park on the 1st street. That was a long walk though!
Afterwards, we headed back to our hotel ‘cause we still have to cook dinner. Joy will cook the ever sinful lechon kawali. Ogz will cook some fried chicken skin. Mmmmmm....
While eating, we couldn’t help but think about how the food would clog our arteries and we’d all drop dead.
After dinner, we went out to see what's goin' on at the Boardwalk. We stopped by a bar called "Bad Ass Cafe" and had a couple of drinks. I tried a shooter and kept the shotglass for souvenir.
We then went back to our hotel and played poker on the hotel balcony. But after a few minoots, we got a call from the lobby. Somebody complained about our noise. We were not even noisy! So we took everything back to our room.
We had Patron (courtesy of Onaks) and consumed only half of Jose Cuervo. As usual, we laughed our bums off when we’re drunk. Ony won the game.
Around 4 in the morning, Joy had this crazy idea. She dared us to take our slippers off, run to the beach and submerge our legs (knee high) in the cold waters. And we did it… twice!
I was in my bedroom when I heard Ogz calling my name. He's been trying to turn on the MagicSing and it wouldn't for some reason. I tried to resuscitate it but still no luck =o(
For 4 years, this gadget has entertained many friends and loved ones. It has served its purpose. I will miss you!!!
Had too much to drink last night. Woke up at 2 in the afternoon. Not entirely true. I woke up early in the morning. I was alone in the living room. Slept on the couch in a sitting position. Another blackout moment. I quickly transferred to the bedroom.
My friends and I headed down to Great Falls for an afternoon picnic. We bought chicken at KFC and booze at Giant. We made sure that we've got activities too. I found a 3 dollar frisbee at Target and Ogz brought the poker chips & playing cards.
We reached Great Falls before 2 pm. We just paid 5 bucks.
We quickly looked for a table. Found one but a guy in yellow shirt informed me that they already reserved it. There's one nearby so we grabbed that one.
At last, we're able to enjoy our late lunch. Had chicken, corn on the cob, mac & cheese and rice. Joy baked brownies last night so we had that for dessert.
To burn all those cals, we played frisbee. My coach would kill me if he sees me now. I lost all the skills. Herbert & Ryan are good. The rest of the guys joined in the fun: Ogz, Onaks, Alwyn and Jet. 'twas a good exercise.
It's poker time. We went back to our table and brought out the cards, the chips and the booze. We had to pour the beer from the inside of a big paper bag.
Then it's time to check out the falls. It's my third time here so I know what to expect.
One nice thing about being in a park is that peeps bring their pets too. I've seen and petted so many dogs. This cutey patootey here is named Joy.
We played some more frisbee before calling it a day. I got better too. Turned out I'm a better thrower using my left hand.
