I Saw the Sign

Reston Town Center is just 15-20 minutes away from our place. It's the closest downtown where we can find a movie house, restos, shops and a skating rink (in winter). They also have this nice fountain. Good thing Mich brought her camera with her.
We found this golden monument featuring Zodiac signs. We must take a photo with our sign.
While walking around the place, Freya found the signage of Google.
Before we went back home, Jet & I bought some ice cream at Ben & Jerry's. I had their Imagine Whirled Peace flavor which actually has cute chocolate peace signs. Delish!

Dancing with the Stars Premiere

"Dancing with the B-List Stars" is back. Last year, I got hooked watching this show from ABC. Now I'm excited because of the following reasons:

OMG! Brooke Burke! Are you kidding me? She's one HOT mama! I loved her on the E channel before. She is smokin' hot on the dance floor. I tote'ly enjoy watching her dance. Why is Derek Hough getting all the sexy ladies?

Second on the list is bootylicious Kim Kardashian. Too bad she cannot shake what her mama gave her.

Third is Lacey Schwimmer from "So You Think You Can Dance". One of my favorite dancers. She is paired with Lance Bass of "N'Sync". I couldn't care less about him.

And then there's the 82-year old Cloris Leachman. She brought the house down with her personality. She just cracks me up. What a bundle of joy!

I'm also glad that Maksim is back.

Corky Ballas is a deadringer of his son, Mark.

Why do I get the feeling that Rocco DiSpirito had too much to drink during the second episode?

A|X

Went shopping today with Joy, Freya and Mich. Jet's aunt suggested this place called "Tuesday Morning" in Leesburg where you can find cheap but nice stuff. So we went there first. It's right beside Shoppers.

TM looks like a smaller version of Ross or Marshalls. I went directly to the section of linens, towels and other bath accessories. Towels! I found two very nice Egyptian towels and a soap dish.

They've got a lot of home stuff but nuthin' else caught my fancy.

Next stop was Ross. I finally got a tie and a belt rack. I need some serious organization in my closet.

Then it's time to visit Tysons Corner again. I miss this place. This has got to be my favorite mall 'cause it has the shops that I love under one roof. Usually when Ogz and I shop here, it takes us at least 3 hours to finish our shopping. But today, I got an hour to shop. Quite challenging, I must say.

Spent most of my time at the A|X store. Went straight to the clearance section at the back. I got myself a nice pair of pants and shirt. Then I found this super rockin' trench coat. Kinda expensive but hey, it's my birthday! I tote'ly deserve it ;oP

Pure Bliss

Friday is prolly the best day of the week. After a long week of hard work, it's soooo good to relax and look forward to the two days of stress-free environment. No deadlines to meet. No meetings to attend. No need to wake up early.

Thanks to the CD that I got from Kuya's previous work, I could listen to spa music while I'm having my bubble bath. I used up some leftover bubble bath soap, lit some candles and turned off the lights...

We had lunch today at Cheesecake Factory. I ordered their carbonara with chicken. Next time, I'd request for them to hold the green peas. And finally I got my cheesecake wish--30th anniversary cheesecake. Yum-O!

Plus 10

It's my birthday today. I'm happy that I got to talk to Mom on the phone. Thanks to all my friends who greeted me (although some of you are in a different time zone). I miss all of you. Seriously.

I wish for... (insert wishes here)

Thanks to The Guy upstairs for all the blessings.

Craving for steak, I went to Sweetwater Tavern in Sterling. I've been hearing a lotta nice reviews about this place and I wanna see/taste for me-self.
I ordered their drunken rib eye steak with White Zinfandel. OMFG! What a perfect meal! The meat was really tender, a little salty but it's really quite good, no, orgasmically good! I wish they put more mushrooms though.
While enjoying my food, a lady named Sarah approached me and asked if everything was okay. I told her the food was delish and that it's my first time and it's my birthday too. She told me that she'll inform the chef about my comments.

Before I left the place, Sarah gave me a surprise birthday gift. Dessert for two for my next visit.
That night, we celebrated my birthday with pizza, wings, beer, wine and some singing ;oP

Spore: Cuteness Overdose

Option A: Read "Twilight"
Option B: Watch "Inside Man"
Option C: Play "Spore"

I chose C. I don't have enuff space in my MBA for a game installation so I went back to my Etch-Pee and double-clicked on the setup.exe file there.

Within minoots, I'm inside the world of Spore. First, you need to choose whether you wanna be a veggie-eater or a meat-eater. Are you kidding me? I love meat so I chose the latter.

Then the cuteness began. The first goal is to eat as much as you want. Simple, eh? There's a meter on how much you've eaten. And when you get past this, you'll venture into another world.

Some organisms bite ya in the bum or you get electricyooted or you get eaten. Not good.

Now, if you wanna add or change some features in your body, all you have to do is click on the Mating Call button. Lovely! Sex is really important =oP

I Need a Hero!

2 hours of all the Heroes characters we've missed. Let's start from the ones that we love.

Gabriel a.k.a Sylar is badder than ever. I thought he'd kill Elle (ma belle). Can't wait to see him kill the Level 5 mischiefs.

I'm really happy that the Petrelli brothers are still intact. Although Nathan has gone a little looney.

So Peter is trapped inside the body of this bald BAD guy. How the hell did that happen? I think his powers are gone temporarily?

It looked like Peter passed the torch to Mohinder Suresh. Would Mohinder be half-nekkid in all the episodes?

Nikki Sanders or not, Tracy Strauss is an icy fox. Her new power may be a side-effect of what was injected to her before. Whachathink?

I'm glad to see Claire reunited briefly with his dad, Noah Bennet. I found out from imdb.com that he is Jack Coleman.

Couldn't care less with what's going on with Hiro-Ando-and the Flash girl, Daphne. *yawns*

Maya is still useless. I see Mohinder shaking his head.

Once You've Gone Egyptian, You Never Go Back

taking baths. Once in the morning to wake me up and once in the evening to help me sleep. Ichamas that I also enjoy the aftermath.

I came to love Egyptian towels. They're, like, super soft and very comfy. Your skin feels the huge, HUGE difference.

Here are a few tips: you must wash it first before use. I found out that it leaves small bits of cotton, if you don't. Never use fabric softener on towels too. It makes it less absorbent. Use the dryer to keep it soft and nuthin' beats a warm towel after a bath.

Buy one today and you won't regret it, my friend.

Same Time, Next Week

I'll be celebrating my 35th birthday next week (yep, am THAT old). I dunno what to do. Last year, I was planning to go to Hooters with my friends but then our van broke down so we got stuck in Ashburn. I even walked to the office that day. Bummer!

My friends are telling me to have a small party at home so we could drink the night away. Well, my birthday falls on a Thursday so we might move the party the day after. Plus, Joy would be coming back from her business trip on Friday too.

Usually, there's dinner, drinking and some dancing involved. The probs here, the clubs here in Ashburn are not so much for the young crowd. We just might go out for a nice din-dins.

It's gonna be special *wink* *wink*.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Gossip Girl Kristen Bell stars alongside Jason Segel and Russell Brand. The breakup scene was hilarious. I dunno how Kristen kept a straight face while Jason's penis is right in front of her. Yep, Jason did a full monty.

Peter (Jason Segel) is trying to erase memories of his ex-girlfriend but it ain't easy to do since Sarah M is everywhere. He went to Hawaii for a vacay but due to some strange luck, Sarah is also there, along with her new rockstar boyfriend, Aldous Snow.

The surprise in the movie for me is Mila Kunis (That '70s Show). She's grown so well. Very pretty girl. I think she could give Vanessa Hudgens a run for her money.

Anything with Paul Rudd is funny. He also has a Hawaiian name, "Kunu", in the film that he got from a website. Just out of curiosity, I looked up mine here. My name is Kalawakolu. What's yours?

The ending was really cute. I love puppets.

Before I leave you, watch the following clips, Part One and Two, featuring Kristen Bell (such a fan of her now) talking about her wonky eye in the Craig Ferguson show.

Let's Hug it Out, Bitch!

One of the shows that I enjoy watching is this HBO series, "Entourage", starring Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase), Kevin Dillon (Drama), Jerry Ferrara (Turtle), Kevin Connolly (E) and Jeremy Piven (Ari).

It's fun to see the lifestyle of a young star in Hollywood. Fancy cars. Women. Sex. All the things money can buy.

In the latest season, Vincent has lost his magic touch. His last movie, "Medellin", sank totally in the box office. Awful reviews and all that crap. He's got nuthin' to do.

Ari, on the other hand, swore to help his old friend make a come back.

Cutey patootey Leighton Meester (Blair of "Gossip Girl") made an appearance in the second episode. As well as the producer of the show, Mark Wahlberg. Oh, Giovanni Ribisi too!

Looks like Vince and Leighton's character, Justine, had a thing in the past. Can't believe it slipped under Gossip Girl's radar. More of B!

Oh, my Effing God

No need to download episodes of "Gossip Girl". I'm now updated. Yay!

So Serena and Dan tried to make up for the lost Summer time by making out almost everywhere. Even inside the small restroom of the Hampton Jitney. Ewww!

By the way, if you wanna visit the Hamptons, it will set you back 23 bucks from NYC aboard the Jitney.

If you've seen "Sleepwalkers" back in the 90s, you'd recognize the woman that Nate's humpin'. It's Mädchen Amick. She's still hot!

Serena was a knockout during the White party. Hay caramba!

Lord Marcus is a waste. B belongs to Chuck, my boy. I'm beginning to like him.

True Blood

It's vampire season once again. "Twilight" is coming out in Novembuh. HBO has released a new show for our DFFs (Dear Friends with Fangs). I'm sorry, I just made that up. It's called "True Blood" and it stars Anna Paquin and some peeps that I haven't seen before.

In the show, vampires are accepted in the society. They can roam around freely and peeps are not that afraid of 'em anymore. Synthetic blood (from Japan?) has been created so they can get their fix anytime without killing anyone.

Paquin's character can hear peeps' thoughts. I dunno how. Stephen Moyer looks like a rugged Michael Vartan.

There's nudity in the show (which I likey). Vampires like it rough apparently ;oP

Now, this got me thinking... if I were to become a creature of the night, I'll be immortal (no more health insurance). I won't age (no more skin products). I will be stronger (no more trips to the drugstore). I won't eat/drink anymore. *record stopping* Uhm, I don't think so.

Old Town, Alexandria, in September

For my fourth visit to Old Town, Alexandria, I'm in the company of Jet, Freya, Onaks and Joy. We left Ashburn around 3 and reached King st. an hour or so later.

While looking for a parking space near the Waterfront, we had to make a detour since the road was blocked. There's an Arts Festival happening this weekend. That's the main reason why I suggested to my friends to come this weekend. I arts!
We've seen a lot of interesting stuff. Pretty nice paintings, jewelries and sculptures.
There are numerous animal sculptures made from metal scraps. Moose. Tigers. Giraffes. Birds. Yep, Jet's favorites ;oP
One of my favorites is this dog sculpture that pees on a watering can. I would've included more photos here but the artist reminded me not to take photos.
Ice cream sounds good so we decided to have some at Scoop Grill & Homemade Ice Cream shop. I picked the Praline Pecan flavor. Yum-o!!!
One thing that I love about going to a place where there are lotsa peeps is that I get to pet dogs. I just love 'em! Do you know the breed of this extremely adorable pup?
Before we headed back to Ashburn for dinner, we stopped by at this candy store where Joy bought some taffies.
