Reunion with Jomel & Myta

It was Joms who suggested to meet at Red Box for our reunion. I have no problem with that ;oP Good food, singing, booze and friends are just the perfect ingredients for a fun night.

I made reservations at 7 (you can call them at 757-6188). Unlike, other videoke bars, they don't have the "No-Reservations-on-Friday" policy. Tamyts & Hormel got there before 7:30.

When I got there 30 minoots later, they've already ordered food. I saw some Yang Chow fried rice, lemon chicken, sisig, squid and tacos. Must fill tummy first before singing!

Tamyts sang "Bleeding Love", "T-shirt" (with her sis) and "Listen" while Joms brought out the Martin Nievera in him. I enjoyed singing "Crush", "Careless Whisper" (complete with Katrina Halili moves) and "And I'm Telling You". Of course, Broadway is in our repertoire. We sang "Movie in My Mind", "On My Own" and our favorite, "Seasons of Love".
We hope that next time, Joyish is here with us. We miss ya, gurl!

Happy Fiesta!

At the end of the month, usually on the last Friday, we celebrate the birthdays of our co-workers as a group. For May, we only have one person though—Racquel.

The theme is "Fiesta" or feast so we had tokwa't baboy, goto, puto't diniguan, lumpiang toge and turon. I tasted everything except the diniguan. The hot goto was delish! Complete with the toasted garlic, onion leeks and calamansi. The turon has langka (had two). Sweet and yummy!

To complete the celebration, we have buntings (thanks to Ruds who made 'em) and folk songs were played while we eat. Bonggang-bongga!
There were many leftovers so Meng, our HR, advised us to bring home food. Just like in a typical fiesta ;oP

Ooh, Baby, Baby, It's a Wired(less) World

Kuya used to manage resorts in Boracay but now he works as a PM at the Paseo Center in Makati. He didn't wanna be late for his first day at work so he left around 5 in the morning. I was still in dreamland that time. He got there around 7.

Anyhoo, we met at Dragon Wok (formerly known as Wok Inn) for lunch and enjoyed their infamous sipa & grilled pusit. The sipa still tastes the same after all these years.
Kuya had to go back to his training so we parted ways. I checked out True Value and bought nightlights. We don't have lamps yet at home so we temporarily use the bathroom lights (equals expensive electricity bill!).

Instead of just a nightlight, I bought something that has a rechargeable battery. So when there's a power failure, we won't bump into one another ;oP

While still inside Park Square, I thought of buying a router so Kuya and I could both surf the net at the same time. I got a Netgear Wireless-N 300. I hope it's an easy setup.

Kuya did the setup when we got home. I'm happy that I can now surf the net anywhere in our house or... or update my Facebook status through my iPhone while I'm bored in the bathroom ;oP

I also noticed that my internet connection improved! Not sure if the router had sumpthin' to do with it. I'm a happy camper now.

Bolt

Any movie that has a dog in it, I'm quite interested in. Especially cute ones like Bolt.

I had reservations at first when I found out that John Travolta has given his voice to the main character. But while watching the film, I didn't notice that it was John who's speaking. I love how the animators rendered Bolt. I can see the fur! The fur! He's fluffy and I sooo wanna hug him!

My favorite scenes would have to be the food scrap begging scene and when Mittens was rescued by Bolt. The look on Mittens' face when she thought she was all alone in her cage really tugged at my heart!

For the first time, I didn't need a tissue for this film even though the part where Bolt opted to stay with his "person" when the studio was freakin' burning was very touching.

I Love Mama

My friend, Belolats, thinks that her cat meows, "Ate", to her. Of course, I laughed when I heard about it. But after watching these videos, maybe, just maybe, she's right after all.

Extreme MagicSing

One thing you'll notice when you unbox this baby is that, it has a nice-looking case/bag. That means, it's waaaay easier to carry around now. Plus point.

Unlike before where the mic is an all-in-one package, this time, the X18K Gold edition comes with a base which houses the chips too (max of four). That means, the microphones are much lighter (not a fan of the gold color though). Yep, you have 2 wireless microphones you can use simultaneously. Each mic uses 2 AA batteries so stock up on rechargeable ones if you want a long night of music & fun.

There is a remote control where you can also type in the song number, adjust tempo, volume or do a search. Unforch, I tried the search feature and it only works by chip. So if you're looking for all the songs with "Kiss", it will only give you the first one from the first chip it sees. More improvement in the future, I hope.

I have Tagalog chips 3, 4, 6 and 7. If I load them all, I won't get to access all of them. What I do is I load whatever song chip I need. One at a time. Compatibility issue but there's a workaround.

We all have favorite songs to sing, right? For Ryan, it's "Beautiful in My Eyes"; for Ogz, "Bukas na Lang Kita Mamahalin"; for Richie, it's "To Where You Are". Teehee. Anyhoo, you can save up to 100 songs and you won't have to look at the songbook again.

Speaking of songbook, I give props to the peeps behind this MagicSing for the nice redesign.

This version has a recording capability though. I tried it with the song "Butterfly". You can actually do backups or duets by yourself! Pretty awesome!

Let's go back to the fact that the mics are both wireless. It is a big PLUS since you're not forced to stay close to the telly. In fact, when this product was being tested at Anson's where I bought it, the sales associate stood, like, 30 feet away from the teevee and I could still hear him sing!

Kids Say The Darndest Things

While Kuya and I were talking about the summer movies, particularly "Transformers 2", my nephew, Lance, blurted out, "I love Megan Fox!"

I was so shocked to hear this. I said, "Whaaat?!!! You know Megan Fox?" He is only 7 years old.

"Yeah", he said.

I demanded an explanation. He said, "He is the leader of the bad guys. And Optimus Prime killed him."

"Oh!"

Free Krispy Kreme Donut & Coffee

Got an e-mail from Beng containing information on how to get a Krispy Kreme chocolate donut and coffee for free. Who doesn't like freebies, eh?

So I filled out the necessary deets like full name, e-mail, where the nearest KK shop is to my location, etc.

That's it. I got a second e-mail that I need to print and present to get my free stuff. Yay!

I also sent out invites to my friends who like donuts/coffee. I even created Mang Ruds an e-mail account so he can have a free donut too ;oP

Today, Raz, Ogz, Beng, Richie, Mike and I claimed our free stuff. I went to the counter and presented the coupon. The guy behind the counter asked for my ID. Shortly after, I enjoyed the sweet chocolate donut with my bitter coffee.
I couldn't taste the chocolate on my donut 'cause the glaze tastes stronger. Maybe I'm just an Original Glazed fan.

Before leaving, I bought donuts for Lance, Fiona, Angela, Kuya and myself ;oP

V

Remember those rat-eating aliens in the 80's teevee show, "V"? Well, ABC is going to remake the show and it stars Elizabeth Mitchell (I will so miss her in "Lost"), Joel Gretsch (from "4400") and Scott Wolf (from "Party of Five").

I was a fan back then but I forgot some deets already. Needless to say, I'm excited about this upcoming version. I'm glad that Joel has a new show but I'm not sure about the Roman collar though.

American Idol: Kris Allen

Before the successor to David Cook was revealed, let's talk about the finale show.

I heart me some David Cook. I'm SUPER happy he sang "Permanent", my favorite cut from his self-titled album. Did you notice him being teary-eyed after the song?

I enjoyed watching Fergie, Keith Urban, Queen and of course, Black Eyed Peas. It's good to see Cyndi Lauper again. Been a fan of hers for, like, forever!

Did you notice Simon Cowell mouthing "Wow!" when the infamous Bikini Girl, Katrina Darrell, walked in? I laughed at Seacrest's comments about the boobies. Oh and, Kara, you didn't have to do that!

I really thought that Adam would get the Idol title. But I know that my friend, Cathy, is super happy with America's decision ;oP

Goldilocks & Royce Chocolates

Beng, Ogz, Raz and I went to Goldilocks for lunch. I miss Kare-Kare so I ordered it. Raz got herself some diniguan, Ogz got bopis and Beng ordered the fish steak. It took a long while for her food to get served.

The rest of us got curious as to its taste so we had a small bite of her fish. It wasn't that delish for me. I'll stick to Diniguan, Bopis and Beef Nilaga.

After lunch, I went back to the BPI bank near our office and claimed my ATM card. I also applied for a credit card with Ogz as my reference. Hopefully they could give me my second credit card. Although I'm quite happy with my current one from HSBC.

I also found out that Greenbelt 5 has a stall for Royce chocolates. My friend, Anetski, gave me my first Royce chocolates years back and I miss the taste. Next week, I plan to buy some for me and my family.

First Day @ Work

Left Bulacan at 6:30 in the morning. It's Monday so I'm expecting heavy traffic. Suprisingly, I reached our Makati office at 9:30-ish. Yay! I'm not late for my first day at work.

Jun is still doing sumpthin' on my computer so I can't do anything yet. Good thing there's WiFi. I was able to update my Facebook right away.

I asked my co-worker, Randy, about the resetting of password 'cause he also has a Mac. After a few minutes of research, he showed me a link plus the commands to reset the admin password. Here it is:

Press Command-S on startup.
You'll get a console. Type /sbin/fsck -y and press Enter.
/sbin/mount -uaw and press Enter.
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone and press Enter.
reboot and press Enter.

The last thing to do is to reset the password after you logged in as the new administrator.

I sent the commands to my Kuya and asked him to do it for me. After a few tries, he was able to do it. Moral lesson: Never change your password while drunk/sleepy. I've been trying all day yesterday to remember but I couldn't. Sonofabiatch!

For brekky, Ogz, Richie, Beng and I went to Jollibee. I had corned beef meal plus an extra serving of corned beef. Yummy!

At lunchtime, I went to the nearest BPI bank and opened an account. Their online banking is amazing. I could start paying my HSBC credit card without hassle. Usually, I ask Nikks to do it for me while I was abroad. Super thanks, Nikks! I truly appreciate the effort.

I also checked out GB5. Bought some toiletries that I could use at work. I also went inside the Anson's store. I found out that there's already T9 chip for MagicSing. It contains some of my favorites: "Almost Over You", "Butterfly", "Yellow", "It's My Turn", "She Will Be Loved", and "Someone That I Used to Love". Of course, I just have to get it.

At Trinoma

So the two Davids are here in Manila. I saw David Archuleta last Thanksgiving Parade in New York. He's cute as a button and always smiling. I wanna see David Cook perform but there's nobody to go see the concert with =o(

In an interview, Archie expressed his interest in meeting the Asia's Songbird, Regine. What can I say? The boy got taste! Apparently, he's heard a LOT of things about her (maybe from Ramiel Malubay). I wish Regine didn't have her own US concert tour. She left the day after Archie & Cook arrived. It would've been great to see them in a duet @ SOP.

Anyhoo, it's boring in Bulacan so I checked out Trinoma. I plan to have a new hairstyle. My hair is in the still-growing phase so there's no definition/body yet. That irritates me. I guess I'm not that patient.

First I did some shopping. I saw Archie singing in Eat Bulaga the other day and he's wearing this checkered shirt. I want a similar one. Fortunately, I found one at Topman. I quickly bought and wore it right ay-way.

I went inside Toni&Guy and scheduled an appointment @ 5. I didn't have any preferred stylist so the lady behind the counter chose their English stylist, Paul Ashton, for me. He's the Technical Director a.k.a. BIG GUY there, so he must be really good.

So at 5, I went to meet my hair stylist, Paul. I told him that I want body and texture. He gave me that so I'm quite happy. Too bad he's going back to HongKong soon. I was honored to have him do my hair.
With plenty of time still, I checked out "The Spa". I took a quick warm shower first and then spent 15 minoots in the steam room. It was late so I was happy that I was the only one in the room. I was given a glass of water by one of their male attendants.

The massage, I must say, is pretty good. I advised my masseuse not to put oil on my tattoo. When she was massaging my butt, I tried hard not to giggle.

For me, they offer the best massage in the metro. Good thing, there's a branch near our office. I'll have one again in 2 weeks ;oP

100 Peso-Worth

Went to Red Ribbon and got their combo meal, composed of spaghetti, 2 chicken drumsticks, a slice of mocha cake and a glass of Coke. Everything is like 100++. Here's what I got:
Sadly, this won't even pass as a kiddie meal. I ate the spaghetti in less than 2 minutes. The drumsticks are really small. Not even filling. Ugh!

Last Meal @ Cheesecake Factory

The last time I ate at Cheesecake Factory, I had their lettuce wrap. I first tasted this in Chicago and I enjoyed the food very much. You just have to be patient since you will prepare your own food.
Of course, you can't eat there without tasting their cheesecake. Hello? I got their Godiva cheesecake. Mmmmm!

Chillaxin'

The day went on without my doin' anything major. Just watched some local shows but not really paying attention at all. I miss the tv shows in the US.

Found out that Shawn Johnson took home the mirror ball trophy at "Dancing with the Stars". Not a fan of hers. I thought Gilles Marini would buh-ring it. Oh well.

I have to watch eps of "Prison Break", "American Idol", "Desperate Housewives", "America's Next Top Model", "Make Me a Supermodel" and "Gossip Girl".

I'm happy that "So You Think You Can Dance" and "True Blood" are visiting our tellies soon.

Bringing Back Cable & Globe Services

A lot of To Dos today. I need to go to SM Fairview to have my broadband reconnected and pay for my phone bill. Plus, I so want a foot and body massage.

Allen, our neighbor, accompanied me to SM. I told him to go to Smart to ask about the reconnection while I go to Globe to pay for my huge phone bill. This is multi-tasking ;oP

Because of 3G that I used last December when I was in Boracay, my phone bill amounted to 23K++. I used my credit card to pay for it 'cause I don't have any cash with me. I know, it's bad to pay a debt with another debt.

I was told that my iPhone will be functional again in an hour or two. Too bad I left it back home.

Next, I went to Smart and talked to the associate myself. They didn't allow Allen to do my business for me. I didn't need to pay for anything but I signed some papers and presented my ID. I can do some blogging and access Facebook again tonight ;oP

Walked around SM Home to look for design ideas but didn't find anything inspirational.

For merienda, we bought some HenLin siomai. Best siomai ever!

We went to "Buff Spa" for my foot scrub. 30 minutes of foot pampering!!!

Then we proceeded to a spa and finally, I got my hour-long aromatherapy massage. This is the good life!

Swine Flu Scare

Before leaving the plane (we landed in Japan around 3), we were advised not to get our luggage yet and to stay in our seats. Medical peeps in medical/chemical suits boarded the plane and started taking photos with their thermal cameras.

You know I love photos, but this time, I didn't wanna look at the photographer. I heard a clicking sound and looked up. Oh God! I hope he didn't take a picture of me! Please not me!
The reason why I'm THIS scared shitless is that, a week ago, during our trip to New York, I started sneezing. And for the past week, I've had this terrible cold. I consumed so many tissue paper even! But I kept on feeling my neck with the back of my hand for some alarming warmth but it remained cold.

The photographer went on with his business. Then a guy appeared and started handing out yellow papers. He started walking towards me. Oh God! He stopped right beside me and handed me the yellow ticket. I stopped breathing!

He started speaking, "What is your flight number?" I stammered when I gave him the answer. I looked at the piece of paper and read it. It basically says that I passed the quarantine inspection. I gave out a big sigh of relief!
I told the guy beside me that this ticket looks like the golden ticket that the American Idol contestants get when they passed the first audition. He re-enacted the look of a happy contestant ;oP

In Japan, I waited for a few hours. I started to doze off. It's not good to fly alone when you lack sleep.

I heard an announcement that we're only allowed ONE piece of carry-on luggae. WTF! I had to do some packing before boarding.

After 4 hours, I saw our local airport again. I just hope that there won't be anymore incident regarding my luggage.

Went through Immigration without any hassle. I waited for my luggage for more than 20 minutes. But I was happy to see both.

I passed through Customs and started looking for a sign of my brother. Looked at the faces of the peeps waiting for their loved ones and didn't see my brother. Hmmm... I thought I saw Allen, our neighbor, waving at me so I walked towards him. Unforch, I was wrong.

I looked for the pay phones and instead, found a booth offering a Smart SIM for 500 pesos. At least, I could use somebody's phone to call my brother. I don't have any phone to use. My iPhone and AT&T phones are now useless.

I wasn't successful in the first try. On the second, I heard his voice. He already spotted me wearing my white Ed Hardy jacket.

I quickly walked towards the awaiting families again and looked for a familiar face. Then I saw Lance, Fiong-Fiong, Kuya, Allen, Miguel and Bok. Whew!

It took us more than an hour and a half to reach Bulacan. Saw Mommy, Angela and Disney again. West wagged his tail when he saw me. I also saw another dog, a German Shepherd, in the house. Her name is Betty (from Betty La Fea).

Dinner was a sumptuous chicken tinola (requested for this). I took a bath before hitting the sack.

Leaving the US

My alarm went off at 7:15. Ugh! I need more sleep. We ended our mini party only 2 hours ago.

At quarter to 8, I heated some cooking oil. I will be cooking spam and egg for my brunch. Airport food is expensive and usually not that good. I packed some for lunch and left the rest for Anbby. I dashed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Dressed up and finished my packing.

Around 9, I checked on Anbby. Went to his room and found him still snoring loudly. Ugh! I tapped his leg to wake him up.

Anbby dropped me off at the airport. I grabbed a cart (paid 3 bucks) and dragged my luggage to Counter 8 (for International flights). I already checked in my stuff and selected my seat online the night before so it was a quick process. The lady behind the counter informed me that I still need to get my other boarding pass in Japan.

She gave me back my passport and handed me my boarding pass.

There's a special line for United Premier passengers so I walked towards it. That's the perk Ogz & I got for traveling weekly to South Carolina early last year.

Boarded the shuttle to Gate C3. While waiting to get boarded, I ate my brunch.

At noon, we started boarding. I'm a Premier member so I was one of the peeps who boarded first. Sweet! A young guy who looks Puerto Rican or Venezuelan sat beside me.

While waiting for the other peeps to arrive, I heard peeps coughing & sneezing nearby. I looked at the guy sitting beside me and we both gave a nervous laugh. "Uh-oh. I hope that's not swine flu," I said. We chit-chat a bit. Found out that he just came back from Miami. I told him about my recent Miami trip. He lives in Japan now. I told him about my limited Japanese phrases. Found out later he's Venezuelan.

I was able to watch "Bride Wars" starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson. The latter is sooo pretty. Enjoyed the film and cried. Another movie I saw was "Seven Pounds" starring Will Smith. I cried again. Why is it that in all of Will's movies, he has a running scene and there's a canine participation?

During dinner, we were served noodles. I got my leftover Spam & rice and ate it with the noodles. Thank God for packed food.

No alarming turbulence. Thank God!

Last Night of the World

Woke up with Anbby standing beside me. Got disoriented a bit so I wasn't hearing what he was saying. He needed someone to accompany him to the airport. Riiiight, we need to pick up a new car.

I quickly dressed up and went downstairs to meet the Avis representative. Turned out that he couldn't fix the steering wheel lock either and it already needs a pro mechanic.

So we drove to the car rental located near the airport. Avis gave us another Hyundai but instead of white, it's now bloody red.

I got the key to prevent Anbby to drive it. On the way home, we grabbed McDonald's for brekky.

Our refrigerator is already empty so we called the other apartment to ask if they have food. Ryan cooked some bachoy so we headed down there. I miss my Daddy's bachoy so it felt good to be eating this dish again (after a long while).

Ogz's flight to LA leaves at 6 so I, along with Onaks and Alwyn, drove him to the airport around 3. On the way home, we grabbed some McDonald's for snacks. I had some fries and hot fudge sundae. Mmmm!

Took a nap till 8 pm. After my shower, I heard voices in the living room. Anbby and Karen were there. They already bought some dinner from Popeyes (super thanks, Karen!). We went to the other apartment and joined them for dinner. They were also watching "Kill Bill".

Around 10, Karen, Jet and I went back to Bar 301. Our booze supply was already low so we headed down to Harris Teeter and bought some Michelob Ultra & snacks. Onaks joined us later.

Played Pusoy Dos and Tong-its and talked about random stuff (fetish was the major topic).

One thing about being drunk (or tipsy) is that you laugh at just about anything. For tonight, it was Karen's way of saying "I'm not sure!" According to Jet, she sounded like a Korean who just learned English. It was funny.

Finished around 4:30ish.

Bowling with Jan

I can't buh-lieve it's my last day at work. I've worked for my company for almost 9 years and it's quite difficult to accept the fact that I will no longer see or talk or work with the peeps here in Virginia.

Submitted my time report and status report before having lunch at CiCi's. Alwyn has been asking us to eat here for the longest time. They have buffet pizza and pasta.

Alwyn handed out some BOGO leaflet from Telos. Ogz & I shared the deal. It set us back 10 bucks.

I got two slices of pizza (one pepperoni and one that has ground beef for toppings) and macaroni soup. The food is just otay. Nuthin' fancy. Ogz was looking for buffalo wings 'cause they advertise that online. In reality, it's not included in their buffet.
After lunch, Ogz & I proceeded to our back to close our accounts and exchange our coins.

Went back to the office and began saying goodbye to our friends and co-workers. I got teary-eyed when I was hugging Linda, Kristie, Leslie and Bonnie =o(

We checked Jon in his office but he ain't there so we thought of a message to write on his whiteboard. I picked up a marker and that's the time Ogz noticed a black Lexus car about to park. It was JC.

He thought of having a couple of drinks with us before saying goodbye. We went to Sweetwater Tavern. Before I ordered my drink, the bartender asked for my ID. Showed him my driver's license from Manila. He looked at it, then at me, then back to the ID again. It was taking longer than usual. Uh-oh, that's not a good sign. He handed me back my ID.

Jon and Ogz both got their drinks. I saw the bartender talking to a guy in polo shirt. I assumed he's the manager. And they looked at me. Uh-oh, not a good sign!

The "manager" asked for my ID again. He did what the bartender did not too long ago. Jon mentioned that he's worked with me for the past 8 years. He gave the bartender a nod and I got my drink finally. Whew!
Before going home, we took a short trip to Costco. I bought mommy some multi-vitamins.

Around 7:30-ish, I got a text message from Jan. We're going bowling tonight. We took our car and headed down to Leesburg. We called Anbby and asked if he's already done with this shopping. Turned out that he's already finished. So we picked him up and went straight to the bowling place.

We rented shoes and were told to occupy Lane 6. I got a 9 but found it was loose. When I was about to return it, I heard Jan calling my name. Turned out that he got an 8.5 and needed a bigger pair. So we switched ;oP
Days ago, Anbby made a "Losers Pay" deal with Ogz. And for our first game, Ogz beat Anbby by 10 points. Anbby reasoned out that his knees are bad. Of course, we didn't buy his crap. Teehee... He stopped playing after the first game ;oP For my first, I got 94. Not bad for someone who hasn't played in a long time.
Second game, I got strike on the first throw. Too bad, it went downhill after that.

'twas already 9:30 and Jan asked if we still wanted to play. Told him that we don't have more money. He said not to worry about it.

The place will have cosmic bowling at 10 so we had to speed it up.
When it was time to pay, Jan shouldered everything. Awww!

After our game, we looked for a place to eat. While cruising along Leesburg, we decided to try Kobe, a Japanese resto. They close at 11 so we still have 30 minoots to enjoy dinner.

We tried their grill where the chef will cook the food in front of you (Hibachi), complete with theatrical moves and humor. My friend, Vicky, brought us to a similar one in Greenville, SC, a year ago.

The chef started heating the oil. We're sitting pretty close to the burner so I was a bit concerned about the flames. He started cooking fried rice, noodles, veggies (he did the onion volcano) and then our choice of meat. I got steak and shrimps. He also set aside 3 pieces of shrimps. I wonder why.
Before he let us enjoy our dinner, he went back to his shrimps and chopped them into bite-sized pieces. Here comes the audience participation part. With opened mouth, the client must catch the shrimp like a dog catching scraps from his master.

When it was my turn, I panicked. I don't trust my powers to catch it. Instead, I used my hands (cheating). The chef chose Jan to be the fast-round catcher. He tossed shrimp tidbits one after another. I think Jan only caught one ;oP

Dinner was very entertaining.

Then it was time to go home. Anbby sat behind the wheel and adjusted the steering wheel. Big mistake! For some reason, it won't lock anymore to his desired angle. He tugged at the lever but still no luck. Jan tried it too but we're still stuck at the parking lot.

We called our friends in Ashburn. Alwyn and Onaks helped us out by Googling some possible techniques. Nada. Alwyn even mimicked the intonation of a call-center agent. That was funny.

Jan took charge and drove us to Ashburn. He said that it wasn't that hard to drive. We bid goodbye and thanked our good friend. 'twas already past midnight.

I called Avis and asked for help. They informed me that they would call me again tomorrow 'cause they still need to contact the airport branch where we leased the car from. Oh well, at least, we could still drive the van.

Spent the night drinking some more with our Ashburn friends.

Looking Forward to...

the massages. My body misses getting pampered with hour-long massages and scrubs. Back home, we have spas, salons and massage parlors that are open till the wee hours of the morning. So whenever you feel like getting a massage, you can almost find one near ya.

In Boracay, I frequent "Tirta Spa" and "Mandala Spa". But in Manila, I go to "Suriya Spa" in Glorietta. I will try "The Spa" when I get back. I heard the massage there is quite nice.

The thing about these massage treatments is that you can find cheap ones too. You just have to do your research. They're, like, everywhere really.

As for my feet, I go to "Buff Spa" at SM Fairview for some foot pampering. I also like the services of "Menage Salon" at Trinoma.

For my new haircut, I will try "Toni&Guy" at Trinoma.

Can't wait!

Last Hurrah

When we got home, Joy found out that we have no cable. Ugh! We had to go to the other apartment to watch our fave teevee shows.

While watching, Faye arrived. We were surprised to get a cake from her. She's so sweet!
My bottle opener from Coca-Cola arrived today too. I'm happy to use it tonight.
I will deffo miss this =o(
